Luckily I still had notes on this. I used just the ReShade version of my Railroad preset from Fallout 4, which was originally made by Symphonic on Flickr (he made the ReShade for FO4 and then I added ENB and some minor tweaks for FO4). Anyhow while I probably did some minor tweaking for ESO the base is still the same.

If you download the Railroad from my FO4 presets (just look under my username for mods for FO4), delete all the ENB files and keep just the ReShade ones that is what I used for the base of the ESO preset I was working on ... but haven't released at this point as I stopped playing ESO.

Note there are two versions of the Railroad under my presets. One uses reShade version 3.x or higher and the other is the original which only works with ReShade 1.x. The old one includes all the reshade files with it so you don't have to worry about hunting down the old version of ReShade.

In theory the ReShade version 3.x should also work with ESO but I never tried. I took these shots with the original version on ReShade 1.x. I tweaked a few things on the ReShade but I don't think anything was major so you might be able to get the base look in these shots following my directions.

Thanks - well certainly it is a different look than the usual for this game I am working on a colorful version based on the Pack as well - but that one doesn't work out of the box like Symphony did (with just a couple of quick tweaks and did overhaul the DOF). The Pack was balanced with my ENB settings - without which it isn't playable. So have to rebalance it all with ReShade.

Thanks Kai although to be clear this is not the game Morrowind but the online game ESO with the Morrowind expansion/DLC pack. I think you knew that but wanted to be sure.

I am not surprised you like the Mohawk lol. It is growing on me I admit. I often thought it was too modern for a fantasy game but perhaps not. So I may keep it depending on whether I find a different cut I like better.

As others have said, it looks great Jon, a long way from how I remember it looking when I played it

Thanks! I highly doubt they have improved the graphics. Don't know if Morrowind pack has improved anything or if the area is better made then earlier places. Anyhow I have always loved how a preset can really change the look of a game. That is probably why I seldom use presets that are more balanced or minimal on impact ... as I like those that make a bigger difference.

Ah many thanks! I wasn't sure how the screenshots would work but managing to find some nice scenes I like. Just means getting used to different tools and limitations. I do like this preset I am using from my friend as it really adds a unique feel to the game I am growing fond of. I alternate between this one and a more colorful one called Fidelity.

I didn't know ESO allowed ReShades. Good to know that you can.

Most MMO's don't allow any hooks into their files or even graphic post processors as they can sometimes give people an unfair advantage, especially if dealing with PVP. Hooks into the executable would be instant ban since those can change all kinds of things. But guess graphic hooks are not as bad - but from what I read they can still be an issue in an MMO as they can remove fog and extend viewing distance (to name two things I read).

There is one program that hooks into ESO that seems to be allowed but I decided not to use it after trying it briefly. Causes crashes for a lot of folks (including me) and didn't really do much. Plus it didn't feel right which is odd I know from someone used to use a lot of post-process tools.

Anyhow from everything I read ESO does allow ReShade at least. This is based on comments on Nexus and Steam from preset makers and users. Also I doubt Nexus would allow the hosting of ReShade presets for ESO if ESO considered them illegal.

I also found a nice UI overhaul that resembles Oblivion UI and menus. Can't use the font sadly but the rest is cool (the font requires another tool and that is dependent on patch version and online games are just updated too often to make that practical).

These look great Jon, surprisingly great for a MMO.

On a unrelated note your image palette matches this game's nexus theme almost exactly.

Thanks Austin and aye I noticed that palette thing as well. I do play with color as well but finding this bleaker preset for ESO gives it a rather cool look that is nicely different from 99% of the presets made for it. I alternate between two I like.

Only so much you can do with an MMO as it has inherent limits due to things going over the network. Still its been fun seeing what I can do for shots as well as actually enjoying the game.

Aye. My friend John made it for FO4. He shared it with me and I made some small tweaks to get it working with ESO (although it played very nice right out of the box - some ReShades carry over to other games better than others and some not at all). Its also the one my Railroad preset for FO4 used as a base.
