What does this mod do?
This mod is an alternative approach to revising the maximum power limitations in the base game to my previous mod, which added additional powerplant racial slots to all starting player ships (http://www.nexusmods.com/droxoperative/mods/1/). Instead of adding an extra slot for powerplants, this mod changes the way in which the maxumum power load increases for all power-generation items (power plants, power collectors, and power boosts) are calculated, boosting the capacity increase per item level by roughly half again the normal amount. This generally provides more overhead for installing weapons on average per powerplant drop, meaning that you have less instances of waiting around for an outlier powerplant to drop while struggling to equip new power-drawing items, or eating up a significant number of slots that only serve to increase power load.
This mod works in conjunction with the mod that adds powerplant slots, although using both in combination may result in a tremendous and probably unnecessary overcapacity of maximum power.
How do I install this?
To install this mod, place the downloaded file (powerplantcapboost.zip) directly in the Assets folder within the Drox Operative directory (on a Mac, this is most likely under Applications, on a PC, this is most likely under Program Files (x86)).
Note: Do not expand or unzip the archive - simply place it in the appropriate directory. The game will look inside the zip file and process the enclosed mod when the game is opened.
