howdy! this mod is hella outdated and i am not able to access any of the original files i used to create it. i do not intend to update it, especially not on this nexus profile. as it's additionally a modification of the work of others, i'll be abandoning this page henceforth. thanks for your patience and understanding :)

Concept Solas Redux Again

...is an opportunity for me to lay some personal edits on two pre-existing textures I merged and released on tumblr with permission from the original modmakers.

Now I'm tossing it up here on Nexus, just in case anyone wants it.

Included in the .zip:

  • quantumofsolas - skin tint edit
(skin retint by josephinemontilyet. adjusts an existing tint that is used for solas' skin. also changes the inquisitor's available skin tone in the same slot. gives maryden, lucius, and many other NPCs the same darker skin. this looks strange with their default face textures. i am investigating a workaround so that either solas can use a different skin tint, or so that there are better textures for the changed npcs, so that hopefully this unfortunate outcome is WAY less evocative of blackface and simply darkens their skin. ultimately, my concern is around the lips, and some of the freckle overlays. hopefully i'll figure it out!)

  • concept solas red. 2 - face texture mashup & edits
(face retexture for solas to match the retint with elements borrowed from mods by josephinemontilyet and endless-laziness. darker skin, slightly more pronounced facial creases. darker eyes/lips. stubbly scalp. crappy teeth.)

Recommendations:

I like to use this mod with companion color configurator by toloc, adjusting it so that Solas' inner & outer eye colors are both 0/0/0, though it is not shown in the sample images.

I also use barbarian solas DE red & black by kalaheira. It makes me very happy.

Additionally, I have the mod vibrant eyes with limbal rings by deadimage in most of my screenshots.
