Hi! This is just a note to say that I don't have a lot of time on my hands nowadays, and so I don't get many chances to monitor my mods. Or work on them, or do requests, or help with questions, or anything like that at this stage. My apologies. But feel free to use my mods as you wish, within reasonable use of course, all I ask is that you credit me. I always used mods in DAO and DA2 to make Leliana's hair a deeper red, and this is my attempt to make a similar recolour of her Inquisition hair.

This is my first attempt at modding for Inquisition, so be kind. It's quite different to modding the other games, and I'm really only sharing what I've made for my own use. I'm certainly not anywhere near competent enough to make mods on request, sorry. If you make a request I will do it if I have the time and it's within my capabilities, but I won't be able to do every request. It's quite fiddly, trial and error work. I'm just sharing in case anyone is interested in the color changes I've managed to make so far.

The Leliana Red Hair file changes Leliana's hair to a deeper red than her carrot-top vanilla style. 

Leliana Red Hair 2, 3, and 4 all make her hair slightly deeper shades of red, with red 4 being the darkest. Not  a *lot* of difference between 3 and 4, just slight. But 4 is the darkest red I can get it so far, without it looking not so good.

The Leliana Bright Red Hair file is just very bright red.

The Leliana Pink Hair file changes Leliana's hair to, as you may have guessed, pink. It was a complete accident, but I'm including it here because someone might like it, and because why not.

The Leliana Red Hair 2.5 is a shade between Red Hair 2 and 3. Not sure if there's really much of a discernible difference, but it was a request I fulfilled.

That's it so far. All the files should change is Leliana's hair colour. No changes to face textures, or eyebrow colours. Just her hair, so it should be compatible with mods that change Leliana's face and/or clothes. 

Choose only one file.

Install with the DAI Mod Manager. My mod still works as of Patch 11!

The only mod in the example images is Skaramoosh's hair textue mod, now available here on the Nexus. I highly recommend it. The version in the pictures is the Smooth version.

I use mods in my own game that change Leliana's face and clothing which seem to work with my hair retextures, so mods that change Leliana shouldn't affect my files unless they alter the hair. I think. 

I am far from an expert in modding. If you have problems with my files, I probably can't help you, I'm sorry. I just did my best for my own game, and shared it with you all for funzies. 

NOTE:

Unfortunately, this does not change Leliana's hair colour in Redcliffe Castle (In Hushed Whispers), or in Trespasser as far as I can see in my own game. I'm not sure why. Perhaps there is a separate file for that. If so, I don't yet know where the files are located. If/when I do find out where they are, I will make recolours for those textures too. If anyone knows, of course, or has an idea, please enlighten me. Until then, just come up with your own back story for why her hair colour has faded. I would offer suggestions but I don't want to be accused of giving spoilers.
On an unrelated note, I hear hair can often drastically fade in colour when it becomes unhealthy due to poor treatment of the body such as physical/psychological abuse, malnutrition and illness. Just a general thought.
It will also not change her hair in pre-rendered cut scenes, of course. But since the lovely mysterious lady keeps her hood up nearly all the time, it's not really all that noticeable, and only lasts onscreen for a few seconds.

If you want to play around yourself and try make a mod with the colour you want, download the Mod Maker and a hex editor - I recommend HxD, which you can find here - and follow this tutorial by wendera. In the modding tool, Leliana's hair meshes are under data/da3/actors/baseheads/hair. Search for Leliana in the box on the Assets tab when you have /hair selected on the left of the tool, it's easier than trying to sort through all the hairs. As the tutorial mentions, you need to extract the ebx files for the meshes you want to recolour and use a hex editor to alter the hex values for the hair colour in the hair meshes.
Leliana has two meshes for her hair - the ones with [SkinnedMeshAsset] in front of them - that need to be altered: Her hooded hair, as in her usual appearance: mh_hf_leliana_hood_model_mesh ; And her unhooded hair, as in the Winter Palace: mh_hf_leliana_model_mesh

Hopefully the information I've provided here will be helpful to anyone who wants to give this a go. If you're a noob to modding Inquisition (or modding in general) like me, you probably need to really go through the tutorial carefully and explore the modding tool for this to make any sense, but I had to work out how to apply the instructions in the tutorial to Leliana's hair on my own, so I'm providing this here because hopefully it will give a hand to anyone looking to make their own recolour for Leliana, or another character. I found wendera's tutorial on changing NPC eye/hair colour very useful and easy to follow. Good luck!
