Getting Mods to work with Bioware's Patch 5

SOURCE: DA:I Tools Forum
From Renmiri - Updated to stop random CTD or Infinite loads

How to run mods with Patch 5: (UPDATED)

1) Copy the patch 5 folder you just got to “Vanillapatch” or whatever name you want

2) Delete 'Patch.daimod' from the modmanager v0.48a folder. (Skip if it's your first time modding) - IMPORTANT STEP - DO NOT MISS THIS

3) Use ModManager version 0.48 to merge your mods again. Save the modded merge to a folder named “Merged” or whatever else you liked - Force Rescan must be on

4) Rename the folder named “Patch” to “PatchV”

5) Rename the folder named “Merged” you made on step 3 to “Patch”

6) Start the game

6a) You can delete the folder “PatchV” or leave it there. Keep “Vanillapatch”, You will need “Vanillapatch” if you want to merge more mods

7) to merge new mods
Delete the folder named “Patch” and make a copy of “Vanillapatch” named “Patch”. Run steps 3-6 again. (This will work for all mods done properly. If you can't enable a mod then it means the mod has a high patch level. In this case, click on the problem mod, look on the right panel what patch level it says it needs and write down the patch level required for the problem mod then see note)

MOD DESCRIPTION:

This mod is a re-texture of the formal outfit. I made it more for personal use but since posting it on tumblr, it has gotten quite a few notes and requests so I've decided to share it here. Currently, there are three designs to choose from.

INSTALLATION:

Use DAI_ModManager V0.48 alpha to merge Bioware's latest Official patch with the patches provided with this mod.
More instructions and details here.
To uninstall remove the contents from your "Merged" folder.
Please choose only ONE color choice/re-texture at a time.

ISSUES:

1. The meshes(all races and gender) for the formal wear all share one texture file. As such there will some stretching and the overall shape and design may look slightly different.

2. Please note that the lighting affects the  how colors look in-game. Some Sweetfx preset may make the colors look darker. The detail screenshots were taken using cinematic tools with the lighting altered since the lighting in the Winter Palace is quite dark.

3. For the Dalish theme formal wear, the colors can't be altered during crafting except for some small metal parts. I had to to this because I wasn't able to achieve the kind of green color I wanted with the tint maps.

FAQ:
1. Will the re-textures work for female inquisitor?
Yes, it will work for all races and gender.

2. Why another pointless texture mod? Wouldn't your time be better spent doing hair mesh, dress mesh, expanding quests etc?
As mentioned in the mod description, it was made for personal use and uploaded by request. If you feel that this mod (which I spent many hours creating and testing for free by the way) does not add any value to your game then simply please ignore it.

3. Will this remove Solas's hat?
Unfortunately no, Ehamloptiran has done so, look here. When it will be released, I don't know. It should work with these re-textures because if I understood correctly it's a mesh modification.

MY OTHER MODS:
Leliana Outfit Retexture

SK Tattoos
