About this mod

PJ retex for Qunari females featuring a corset and peasant blouse.

Permissions and credits
Some Vashoth spend their off hours in chainmail or pace about the war room in a crisp uniform, always ready for the next threat.  But some would rather just be fixing a horseshoe or reading a book!  For such gentle-hearted inquisitors, I hope you will enjoy a pj retex just for you.  (Qunari Females only)

UPDATE: This mod has been ported to Elf Females here.  Now, no more race ports!  For real this time :)

Two available styles
  • White blouse/Untintable: A fine linen blouse in bright white.  In any armor where your pjs peak through (typically mage armor, seldom rogues or warriors), you'll be able to see the white fabric.
  • Beige blouse/Tintable: A beige woolen blouse with a coarse texture.  In any armor where your pjs peak through, the blouse will match whatever cloth the rest of your armor uses.
None of the leather is tintable in either version: it will remain brown both in Skyhold and out in the world.

I've uploaded one zip file for each style.  Inside each zip file you will find 8 daimod files: one for each qunari skintone.  They are numbered to match the skintone slider positions in the character creation screen: 1 is palest, 8 is darkest.  Install only ONE of these daimod files at a time.

For optimal results, I recommend using this mod alongside Custom Body Models, Lean version for QF.
You may notice some oddities with the subtle 3D effects: the wrinkles, the corset laces, and the vine designs on her legs may appear indented or "out-dented" depending on the lighting or other mods you have installed.  I had no idea that Custom Body Models (CBM) could affect these subtle 3D effects, so I left that mod installed while I spent weeks hand-drawing and tweaking these effects...then when I uninstalled CBM as a final test to make sure everything still worked, lo and behold, things looked wonky.  GAAHH!!  And frankly, I am too exhausted to redo it all to make the 3D effects work properly in all possible circumstances.  This retex mod will still work without CBM installed; it just might look a little different than it does in my screenshots.  (I have included one image comparing what it looks like with and without CBM, highlighting the main problem areas.)  So if you like it as-is, awesome; if not, thanks for reading and I hope you find another pj retex on Nexus Mods that's more to your liking!

Additional Notes/Issues
  • As with all pj retextures that involve patches of bare skin, the skin may not match her face perfectly in all lighting.  Limitation of the game, I'm afraid.
  • You may notice some odd little wiggles in the blouse edges, particularly on her shoulders.  I found it incredibly difficult to make a straight line on that part of the body mesh, and I'm afraid that's the best I could manage.
  • In some lighting, small rectangular shadows appear on the lower front of her corset, on the hem just beneath the corset laces.  I've minimized this as best I can, but I couldn't eliminate it completely.
  • Her blouse has a very prominent "wrinkle" on the upper sleeve: the pj mesh has a very annoying, very prominent bump right there, and the wrinkle was my attempt to hide it.
  • I have not tested this mod with other versions of Custom Body Models, so I'm not sure which ones produce the indent vs. out-dent effect.
  • This mod is NOT compatible with any other Qunari Female pj mod.
  • I can't imagine how a pj mod could break anything, but I'll add the standard disclaimer: Use this mod at your own risk, I'm not responsible if your game spontaneously breaks, yadda yadda.

I have no plans to create any other color variations or to port this to other races/genders, but I've uploaded my source files if you're interested in attempting the job yourself.  (Good luck and you have my sympathy :D )  Feel free to use my files & mod assets as you like, no further permission required.  If you post your mod online, credit for my work is always nice, but I mostly just like to see people still getting use out of my mods.
