About this mod

As frequently requested, armor variants intended for if unromanced Isabela and Merrill romanced each other. Currently a non-immersive simple outfit swap. Should now be compatible with DirectX11.

Permissions and credits
Hello, and welcome to the first version of the Merribela mutual romance outfit mod!

Installation:
Place "Merribela Outfits - v1 (non-immersive).erf" into your Override folder. If you do not know where your "Override" folder is, it is found under the same Dragon Age 2 folder that stores your user data (this is the same Dragon Age 2 folder where any screenshots taken in-game will be stored). This will usually be found in your "My Documents" or "Documents" folder, in the "Bioware" folder, and is NOT the one found under your Program Files. This should  be the case for both Macs and PCs, but if you have wound up with an alternate filepath, try to find your in-game screencaps folder and navigate up to the "Dragon Age 2" folder. Once you are in this folder, go into "packages", then "core". There should already be a folder named "override" in here; if there is none, and are sure you are in the right location, you may create one. Once in the "override" folder, you can just paste the files there.

Uninstallation:
Delete the file from your override folder.

Features:
This mod adds a basic mutual romance outfit for Merrill and Isabela, intending to imply that the two have struck up a romance when not romanced by Hawke. Automation functionality here was notably trickier than in my Anders automatic romance outfit, so at this time, these outfits unfortunately only replace the base outfits for Isabela and Merrill, with no accompanying banters or automatic changing.

The summary of the changes is as follows:

Merrill: Merrill's "Water Lily" Isabelamanced outfit is a retexture of an outfit from the base game similar to her romance outfit but without the chainmail (which I tend to find looks... uh... really terrible with the rest of the outfit?). I have added a blue scarf corresponding to that of her base non-romanced outfit to this mesh and removed an absurd number of shoulderpads as well. In addition, Merrill has a flower crown, because eh, why not?

Isabela: Isabela's Merrillmanced outfit has her dark corset with a green vine overlay (courtesy of free clipart available online) and a flower (intended to be a daisy) tucked behind one ear. I attempted to give her a variation with pants, but it really... did not work.

Agenda for Subsequent Release:

I intend to release a later version with some constructed Merrill/Isabela banters, automation for outfit changing, and ideally polyamory support for throwing Hawke in the mix (though this may be trickier if Hawke romances one but not the other, meaning that feature is provisional and may require yet further subsequent releases). The newest version is now compatible with the DirectX11 renderer. Also, if I can ever fix the black fringe on Isabela's hair flower that keeps appearing despite GIMP's insistence that that section is transparent, I'll be updating with that as well.

Compatibility:

The flower crown is attached to Merrill's outfit mesh and not to her hair mesh, meaning this mod is compatible with any Merrill hair replacements. Isabela's flower, however, is a part of her hair mesh and will not be compatible with any hair swaps for her. (I have chosen this b/c almost no one elects to swap out her snazzy bandana anyway.) This mod is totally compatible with alternate romance armors for both of them, including my Autumnal Romance Armor variant for Merrill, but not with replacements or alterations to their base armors.

Permissions:
You may under no circumstances whatsoever recolor this into a "fairskinned Isabela" variant armor, nor will I be creating one. You are, however, at liberty to use this in your own renders, and to repackage as part of another mod with compatible functionality with credit, including non-fair-skinned retexturing, etc. My one request is that if you do a pants variation for Isabela, you grant me permission to use it with credit in the subsequent immersion version release, because I just seriously cannot crack that on my end.

Other Mods Visible In These Screencaps:
This DAO-style Merrill complexion
The very edge of Anders Automatic Romance Armors
The fruits of my labor on the Blender to DA2 Mesh Exportation Alpha script (currently incompatible with DirectX11 because that renderer hates joy, but I'm working on it)

If you experience any issues or have any questions about how to install this mod, please let me know and I will get to them ASAP!
