If you need to effectively remove codex entries but you don't know the plot resource name or GUID. This contains a UI mod that will give you the resource name (e.g., [plt_]cod_cha_shale.plo) and a DAScript to log the plot GUID given the resource name (e.g., cod_cha_shale has plot GUID 45CE5838602B431F96EF7B65D005D2C1). NOTE: I need to fix the output to write the prefix plt_, but the information is otherwise OK - I just appended the ".plo" suffix without also considering the "plt_" prefix.
AmstradHero has a project that will save you the bother of editing the core plot resources here: http://social.bioware.com/project/2696/
Important Note: These files cannot and do not open encrypted ERF files, but instead get the values through legitimate means from inside the game. The intended purpose is in fact to give you the means to eliminate DLC codex entries that you don't want in your own standalone adventure - the included README file has more information on how to do so.
