I always had a soft spot for Asian culture. I tried many times in the past to create a character with Asian features but I was never happy with the results. I had an epiphany a few days ago while I was listening to Buck Tick. Yes, a Japanese band. :P And since the picture was taken while she was in the fade.. I believe there is no better song than :

BLEACH! Thats another good one! ugh! I need to watch that again! I haven't heard of Gintama. Im gonna search that one. I love anime that came make you laugh xD but has awesome fight scenes!
I've never heard of The Seven Deadly Sins anime...I might give it a go during summer;
I already have Cowboy Bebop and Trigun in my "to watch" list.
Oh, if you like anime with awesome fight scenes that also make you laugh,
Gin tama is a good choice...Its humor is genarally considered kinda "weird",
because sometimes it can be rediculous and childish. But I love it and, honestly,
most times I end up crying from laughing too hard.
there are samurai and aliens and robots...lol. But there are too many episodes...
You could watch Gintama: The Movie, if you wanted to get a taste.
It's a remake of one of the best arcs, imo.
Of course Rurouni Kenshin is on that list! I loved it so much! xD I have seen so many anime that I cannot remember all of them to put them on that list. xD
I won't spoil anything for you Serenety because that movie was so awful that I completely removed it from my memory! Hahaha!

Maria, Trigun is awesome! I love it very much! xD It has many funny moments but it also can be very emotional at times. You should definitely check it! ^_^
I haven't watched Bleach or Gintama yet but they are in my to watch list. xD I haven't heard of Seven Deadly Sins either.. another one for the list. xD

@BlackOrchid, im the eldest of two? (is it two or three? I have 2 siblings plus me equals three>.< I get confused lol!) My siblings and my mom tell me to grow up or "mature" because i'm 26 and im like "nah" I wanna be a cool-G to my grandkids!
I mean my husband is 32 and he STILL plays video games, watches cartoons (we fangirled over sailor moon crystal today xD) and he still collects action figures! PSH! I'm never growing up! xD

First season ended a bit disappointing for me but it's been a long time since
I've watched an anime that epic so I'm still excited for what i's coming.
Another anime I loved was Hunter X Hunter, both original and 2011 versions,
but 2011 version covers more storyline and imo is better. There was one
particular ending theme that I adored! Orchid I think you're gonna love this one

Also Magi, Kingdom...ooh, Kingdom is so great, I loved the animation,
the characters, the action, the plot...
Too bad there are only two seasons so far...
Oh, and I'm very excited about the new D.Grey-man series, D.Grey-man Hallow.

Yeah, I'm the childish one in my family, too. Serenity it's great that you have
your husband and brother to share these things...My sister doesn't even know
what anime means but at least my boyfriend (30-31) still plays games and
occasionally he can enjoy a good anime.
Bleach is one of the most worthwhile anime I've ever watched. <3
I heard there is going to be a new Bleach anime but nothing is confirmed yet.

Looking at the comments, I know that anime you spoke of with Risi. Its been some time but I do remember the title but not the plot of the anime.
I'm so happy to hear that someone else except me is not using the Toolset! I felt so alone. Hahaha! xD
As for the Anime it had a movie and a series. I didn't like the movie at all but I liked the series very much. ^_^ Yes I thought that the story is similar to my Wardens that is why I named her after the protagonist. That and I'm terrible at Asian names.

I saw the movie but not the series. It was a long time ago that I watched it. I didnt even know they had a series. >.< The movie was ok. Im gonna search up the series. I liked the way the characters looked in the movie.
You are not the only one terrible at names xD Im terrible at coming up with names, period! xD I have to go to baby name web pages when I cant think of one.
I thought I was alone lmao! Many people love the toolset, and is better to create characters. I couldn't get it to work on windows 8 so I just have fun getting headaches trying to figure out how to replace this and that and add more colors to the Chargen thing lol. xD
As for the names 95% of my characters names are taken from Tolkien's books. ^_^ But sometimes when I create something a little different like Shigure here I strangle a lot.
As for the Toolset I had similar problems. Unfortunately I'm using Windows 10 and it doesn't work no matter what I do. I wish I could use it and make things easier for me but hey.. A more "complex" character can indeed give you a headache. xD But when you manage to get the results you want it feels awesome!
I was looking at images and I was wondering if you ever watched an anime called One Piece? The animation or drawing some of these characters have, remind me of that anime. And I love One Piece. I actually think I'm going to enjoy binge watching this when I have the time!
And I am with you on that last sentence. It does feel amazing when things work out in the end. =D I also wanted the toolset to makes things easier ^_^ but I have fun (and headaches lol) creating it in the game's cc. Its very satisfying when you're done creating your character.
I haven't watched One Piece yet but I have heard so much about it. It is actually in my to watch list. xD And yes you are right there are many similarities in those two Anime, as far as animation and drawing goes. I love loosing myself in a good Anime story. ^_^

Sailor Moon has a new remake series though, named Sailor Moon Crystal, with only 34 episodes so far, so it's better to start from there
Also Naruto/Naruto Shippuden (my favorite) Shaman King, Fullmetal Alchemist and Dragon Ball Z.
Sailor Moon was my first anime too, along with Dragon Ball Z
(and probably Pokemon, Yugi-oh, etc. lol). They're both still very special to me.

Im currently watching One-Piece with my brother and its just amazing to re-watch it after so many years! I watched One Piece when I was also watching Naruto with my brother when we were younger. I didn't much like Naruto at the time. Maybe I might change my mind when I binge watch it! xD (he also collected all the manga! He wants me to read those too!)
I have always heard of Full Metal Alchemist. My husband and I binged watched it last year. I loved it. It was amazing.
I have still to watch Shaman King. I know that should be good.

Tbh, I didn't like Naruto at first either, I actually hated Naruto's character.
But I kept wathing it and now he's my favorite anime character ever!
You should watch The Last: Naruto the movie, if you have the time.

oh! I dont know if it was a remake or not but I watched the one on cartoon network I think it was on or was it the disney channel... I don't remember but Beyblade was on one of those channels and I love it. It would come on every Saturday morning and I would be so glued to the tv lmao!
What I didn't like about Naruto it wasn't the characters (im a sucker for Sasuke xD) but it took forever to move on to the point. In high school that was a major "when is it getting to the point!" "Omg its taking forever."
I plan to watch everything Naruto because my brother is making me lol! xD

Well.. As far as age goes I'm 31 almost 32 and I'm still enjoying things like this. Watching Anime, playing games, create stories for my characters... etc etc And I believe that I'm going to enjoy them even if I reach the age of 80. ^_^
If I had too choose my favourite anime that would be Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. I loved the original series but the movie ruined it for me.From the top of my head I really enjoyed Death Note, Monsters, Moribito Guardian of the Spirit, Samurai 7, Claymore, Hellsing, Devil May Cry, Witch Hunter Robin etc etc.
Unfortunately the TV in my country never played anime so I haven't watched many famous series such as Pokemon, Yugi-oh, Naruto or Dragon Ball Z. I started watching on my own, later on when I had internet access. ^_^ I won't lie one of the main reasons I haven't watched all those series is the size of them. They have so may episodes. xD
NO SPOILERS! I haven't watched the movie! xD I heard my friends saying the same thing but I still want to watch it. Out of anime topic here for a sec but my husband made me binge watch all of star trek and when I found out there were movies all he said was "Oh they are awful. Only certain scenes are good for watching but that's it." I still want to watch it! Even if they are bad! I feel the same for the Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. xD

Any of you watched Gunslinger? Its in my netflix list of watching. I just finished Fate Zero and Fate - Stay night unlimited blade works and omfg! *faints*
Internet is a blessing because I was able to watch so many favorites from back them and watch episodes as a kid since we only had one tv we all had to share and well... I never got to see certain episodes! xD
I love anime when there are a lot of episodes or when the episodes are LONG! it makes it all worthwhile to cry because i'm going to miss it (im a crybaby xD) but then I binge watch it again and I tell everyone about lmao!

The TV in my country only showed the more popular ones, like Pokemon, Sailor moon, etc. Most of them I found out later, too (thanks to Internet of course).
To be honest I never managed to make the Toolset work.. so all of my characters are created in the CC. As you can imagine I have even more limitations.
By the way, it has to be an interesting challenge to retexture matching armours for her... Do you think of a kind of kimono or of some gear for a samurai?
Yes I had thought about it but I didn't have the time to search for something. Unfortunately most of the clothes and armours in DAO are a very different from the Asian ones. I will see what I can find but for the moment I used Skara's retexture for the Orsino's Robes and my favourite retexture from Underworld Armory. I will post some more images of her later today. ^_^

I have ported some years ago some traditional Japanese hairstyles but I have never used them because I didn't want to combined it with the typical armours.
Has her name a special meaning?
I won't lie it was quite difficult to make her look like that. Not all her features are Asian but this is as close I can get with the options that I have. ^_^

She is named after a character from an Anime. Ninja Scroll the Series. Shigure was a special person. Throughout the series she discovers her powers and her destiny. I though it was fitting for a Warden. ^_^ I know that many people didn't like this Anime but I enjoyed it for what it was.
I always wanted to create an Asian character too, but I never got nice results. Buck Tick is really a great inspiration for characters like that and the song really suits the Fade.
Well I have to admit creating Asian characters with the CC can be very frustrating to say at least. xD As Rosvita mentioned there are not many good options to choose from.
Listen to Buck Tick and give it a try.. It worked for me.
