Look who is back! More description again, because I missed Daya a lot. She is the one of the characters from my story that has more than one character and I already finished her "part" of the story. I'm sorry my little elf for what I have done to you. I miss you a lot. :(

Name: Daya Mahariel
Age: 22 years old

Daya is a proud Dalish elf who fights with all her strength for the right of the elves. She has seen the suffering of the elves during her childhood and adolescence, she saw many of her friends die at the hands of humans and forests being decimated by human greed. This made she harden her heart to the point that fighting was the only way out. She believes that no elf should bow before human and so for long, she thought the city elves were weak by submitting to live in human filth. Basically, she's a young woman who saw and lived much of the harshness of the world, but who believes that one day there will be peace for the elves. And she would die with satisfaction on behalf of that goal. Daya is a free spirit who likes to run barefoot through the woods, hunting or simply to listen to the rivers flowing and birds singing. She feels at home only in that contact with nature and she can't understand how human cities function. She is not a friendly woman and she almost never speaks, she prefers act than speak or smiles. And it makes her a closed person, few knows her dreams and fears and few would live to see her gentle side or her honest smile. Inside her there is a sensitive woman who wants to live in peace, but before peace that are always war and that is why she believes this time is not the time for her hopes. She's the kind of person who always live in the past. She suffers because of old wounds and she can't forgive herself after Tamlen's death, her first love.
Leaving her clan was the worst thing that ever happened in her life. She never wanted to become a Grey Warden, but she had to, or she would have died. And she can't live with the thought of dying without a fight. She had to leave everything she knew behind. But being a Warden was something that changed her life forever. She starts to see different points of view that she would never see if she still lives in her closed world. She was a person who has matured a lot during her journey to stop the Blight. And in her search for the peace for the elves, maybe she was looking for peace for herself.

I really like her story, a female elf which seems she doesn't match the cliche of the gentle and peaceful creatures of the forest but with a good heart and hidden feelings. With a rather harsh and repellent behavior, hardly speak and live to fight - the fight to win back the peace someday. I'm very curious to read more about her, Daya is a very interesting woman! I can imagine it, that Zev even needs a bit more effort to win her trust and her heart! Did she likes him from the beginning? *giggle*
Daya is one of my characters that grows a lot during her journey and that's why I'm so proud of her. Yes, she is not exactly the gentle type. She is also too hard to herself and to others. And you are able to describe her so well!
Hm, I already finished her playthrough, so I "finished" her part in the story (I say that because I will probably write more about her and the other characters in the future, but I already write the more important parts of her journey). You are right, she didn't trust Zev much at the first time, but she also thought that he deserved a second chance, since she was a person who was given the second chance too. In the begging they flirt with each other, because of the fun. Daya wanted to keep her mind out of her past, that's why she attended to his flirts. She just realised that she was in love when she discovered about his past. He lost someone important to him and and he was despairingly trying to run away from his past, but he couldn't.
