In the game, how are you getting magic and bow skills together? Is there a mod that does this or did you just pick mage and use a bow instead of a staff? If so, would this be that effective with the stats of a mage?

Yes, I used the Dalish Mage Origin mod to pick a Dalish mage and use a bow instead.
Right now I focus more on magic and dexterity and a little on willpower and
constitution and have no problems at all. But I'm thinking on also choosing
arcane warrior later. Already picked shapeshifter for my first specialization.
And I also use these two mods to make Zuko's and my life easier

I really like his story, very interesting. Especially the fact that he didn't know about his magic until the Eluvian. That's an interesting way to explain his magic. And Shapeshifter suits well for him.
