About this image

"The best leader is not the strongest, nor the most intelligent, but the one who knows how to make difficult choices. In Redcliffe I was forced to make a quick choice to avoid more blood. There was no time to travel to the Circle of Magi to ask the help of the mages. I also could not trust in a blood mage responsible for poisoning Arl Eamon. The only solution was to nip it in the bud, as they say. There was no other way. And perhaps death was the best for the boy. In addition to the suffering caused by the demon, there would also be the weight of so many deaths in his small hands. There are worse things than death. Such a young soul could endure it? Even if he lost his memory, one day the truth would appear. He might not have guilt, but the weight of deaths would still be there. So much blood. The Arlessa did quickly what she should do. With the pain in his chest larger than silence that she expounded. There were not enough words to comfort her, so the silence. There was nothing to say.
At that moment, I thought of my mother. I thought about what she would have done if she were in my shoes. She probably would have done what is right. But what would be right in such a situation? Prevent further suffering? Prevent deaths? That's what I did with the hope of doing something right. But I was not sure. What's done is done. That's what I used to talk to myself. Still, there was no certainty and the thoughts continued to torment me. At the camp, Alistair came, he asked me about my actions. "You saw what we had to face," I replied. "What would you have done?" I asked. "There should be another way," he said. "Should be? Would you be willing to risk more lives to try another solution?" He silently walked away. Thoughtful. He probably went to get some comfort in Kahlan, because there was no peace to offer him. Nor for me.
I also walked through the camp and saw Frerin. He was drinking while he was looking at the stars. Also thoughtful. But he noticed my arrival.
'Came to join my misery, Commander?'
'Just give me a drink.'
'Oh-ho, fast and direct as usual.'
'Just shut up and give me a drink, dwarf!'
'Alright, as you command, m'lady.'
'Oh, shut up'
And then we shared our misery to the silence." - From Laurea's diary.

This is one of the passages that I include more than one of my wardens, because, as I said before, I'm trying to create a story in which my other characters participate  too. I made this text while playing with Laurea in her first great mission. Decisions in Redcliffe are one of the hardest to take. So even being a strong woman, Laurea had many doubts. Although she not let the others see her vulnerability. And as I always like to say, my English is not so good, probably have a lot of mistakes.

Very nice story! Laurea sounds very interesting and badass.
Who would she romance, btw? Zev, Leli, or maybe someone of your other Wardens?

Thank you very much! I'm trying my best to give life to my characters. I really like to think like them.
That is a good question. I really have doubts about who would be Laurea's romance. I think Laurea would never trust completely in someone like Zev, who tried to kill her. So Zev will be the romance of Daya Mahariel.
I thought Leliana, because Laurea feels peace in her company. That is something she really enjoy, because she have a lot of responsibility in being the leader. At the same time, I like Leliana and Calion too. Maybe I should create one more character to complete all this romance stuff. Or maybe Laurea should be alone. Or maybe I should try Ser Gilmore mod, but I don't know if they would be good together. I really have to think about it.

Oh, I really enjoyed playing with Ser Gilmore and also Karma's Origins Companions mods. I think you'd like them, too.
It's great to have more companions and romance options
      for the characters.
And I agree about Leliana for Laurea's romance. I think they'd make a very fitting couple.

I must try these mods, then. Maybe it should be the solution with my characters' romance problems.
But first I must decide who should romance Leli.
Yes, Laurea really fitting with Leliana, but Calion too. That's why so many doubts.
But I hope I will find an answer to this problem.
