UPDATES

30.8.2014 - Please see the sticky on the COMMENTS section for additional information on Anti-Aliasing, GeDoSaTo compatibility and more.

3.5.2014 - Added a customized depth of field effect file to optional files.
This is a first release of the effect for Pure ENB, and may be integrated into future builds. Let me know what you think!

v.0141 - Recommended update for ENBSeries v0.257.
- Balanced lighting for gameplay utilizing new ENB controls
Even some of the darkest areas should now be playable without a torch, albeit with a less clear of a vision over the area (at default brightness)
- Increased spread of Ambient Occlusion for better effect
- God rays should transistion less harshly
Feedback on these changes would be much apprecited

v.014 - Updated for ENBSeries v0.257.
- Adds god rays - this shouldn't affect performance on most systems
- Cleaned up .ini files for advanced users who wish to tweak the preset to their own liking
Download the new wrapper version of ENBSeries for Dark Souls II at http://enbdev.com/mod_darksouls2_v0257.htm

v.013 - Updated for ENBSeries v0.256.
- Vastly improved performance (up to 10 FPS better)
- Reworked SSAO for better graphical consistency and realism (less intense during daytime scenes where previous implementations seemed tad dark; cleaner foliage shadows).
- Improved SSAO implementation for foggy areas that had an issue where shadows were too intense in the previous release
- Increased shadow detail for better playability and dynamic range; overall look should be much more natural
- Harvest Valley should be slightly brighter

v.012 - Updated to support ENBSeries v0.255 Download at http://enbdev.com/enbseries_darksouls2_v0255.zip

v0.11 - Slightly tweaked SSAO to be less aggressive. Areas with heavy fog should look a little less ugly.

V0.1 - Initial release

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

This ENB should provide you with a rather subtle flare of the ENB magic, while still having saturation in check.
It should make some scenes darker, where you'd expect things to be that way, and add some slight bloom to highlights to help bring material qualities of things like Plate armour to life.

INSTALL / REMOVE

1. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE LATEST ENBSERIES BUILD FOR DARK SOULS II AT ENBDEV.COM (current build: http://enbdev.com/download_mod_darksouls2.htm)

2. Extract the contents of the .rar to your Dark Souls II game directory, where the executable is located (commonly found at C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/Dark Souls II/Game). Overwrite any old files associated with the mod.

To uninstall, simply remove the previously extracted files.

KNOWN ISSUES

Occasional ambient occlusion flicker. The low-visibility section of Shaded Woods can be impossible to navigate due to applied effects. You can temporarily disable the mod during this part, or at any other time using Shift + F12. Press the set of keys again to enable the mod again.

GeDoSaTo compatibility and SweetFX compatibility: untested on my end.

The latest preset was tweaked during gameplay and tested using ENBSeries v0.257 for Dark Souls 2. Settings are based on the game's brightness set at default.
