AirShore
This map will bring a smile to any Crysis gamers lips...especially if you enjoys the stock Shore level in the game! AirShore is a tweaked out version of that level that will see the action intensify, along with your gaming enjoyment.

If you are trying to remember what the Shore level was about, "Following the Alien crisis, the small island of Kiribati became a focal point for multiple alien incursions. The Prototype Factory located there is the world leader for Alien studies and has recently come under North Korean domination. US Special Forces have been sent via submarine to retake the facility and the surrounding peninsula."

This is still the Shore map that you have enjoyed in the past, however, the most notable change made to this level by .:CS:.Seefor and Cooter Shooters Clan, is some added air power for both teams.

Get ready, strap in and prepare for some total carnage!
ARRIVAL complete single player map (1.0.0)
Hello,

I cave created a Single player Crysis map called "ARRIVAL"

It took months to create and give about 25-30 mins of steady gameplay.

It's a steady ride into action with building tension, Ai (friend and foe), Vehicles, Guns, Scripted set pieces, Aliens, and a working mine cart ride thru the mountains fighting towards the alien homeworld.

I created a quick trailer using movie maker and also posted that on youtube. and there are a few (probably a few too many) static screen shots below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzdyHv9fQ44

Hope you like it and look forward to any comments Good or Bad, This was going to be my last map on Crysis because of Crysis 2 comming out but looks like I gonna need tips for my next map. Hopfully I will be done before March next year. And if i did it again I would probably have done it different (90% learning 10 Doing).

I am also hoping to join some modding team if anyone will have me as I love doing this sort of stuff, any offers wink.

Thanks

Jason..
Advanced Particles Mod (Beta | v1.0.1)
We have a returning great for your gaming experience! HavokSage has provided his Modification to enhance your Crysis adventure!

The Advanced Particles Mod, although still in Beta form, makes for a great time at your computer; This modification changes many common particle effects in Crysis to improve realism, and most importantly, excitement and playability. According to the developer, the Advanced Particles Mod has been in the works for a while now, mainly just tweaking the particles for optimization and making sure they aren't too over the top...

    Some of the features include:

      • Fire System; when an explosion is close to a house or vegitation, fires will start and eventually die down.
      • Fire now damages the player and AI.
      • Smoke stays for much longer after explosions.
      • Enhanced battle dust; Smoke forms across no mans land.
      • More 3d Particle Physics, Wood splinters, rocks, bits of concrete. All behave with realistic physics and are generated when Buildings, trees, etc are shot/exploded.
      • New Blood effects, more splatter & spatter.
      • Explosion effects optimized for better performance.
      • Many effects have been improved since the early Alpha release.

If you want a file to make the kind of changes to your game that will give it that little bit more of a realistic tang, then the Advanced Particles Mod is definitely something that you want to consider downloading! Don't be the only person on your block without this download!

Refer to the readme for more information.
Broken Paradise (1.0)
We have a developer here today that is new to CrysisFiles, but not new to the Network, Serio(Lord_Reno) has made the leap from JKFiles to do his bit for the enjoyment of Crysis gamers; It is out of the urban warzone and into the jungle for you as fight to stay alive in the Broken Paradise.

The North Korean Special Forces are out for blood in this lush green carpet of jungle, keeping yourself among the breathing won't be easy as you move about; A word to the wise, quiet-ness is a good thing...especially if you want to be the one doing the victory dance at the end of it all, as the AI seem to be very adept to this terrain, and they are good at what they do...

If you think you have what it takes to see this to the end, and in one piece, then you'll want to give this a try, keep in mind that this release is an early version, I'm sure there will be more work made to it by the developer, and I'm sure suggestions and/or constructive criticisms would be welcomed; Broken Paradise is a fun map, that comes with the potential to be a memorable map.

Here on Nexus Mods we have a very vibrant, busy and incredibly talented screen-capture community. I'm going to be spending time getting to know our artists and introduce them into this series to showcase some of their work, find out what makes them tick, what tools they use and if they have any tips for others.

Though to begin, I reached out to someone outside the community who I also hold in very high regard, the very humble and often elusive professional screen-capture artist Duncan Harris from ‘Dead End Thrills’.

His specialty is capturing beautiful images for not only his personal sati ...(continue reading the full article)

    posted by BlindJudge Feature

This week we move to the critically acclaimed Dark Souls series and chat to a young modder who goes by the name Cavou. Fed up with the tiling of the textures in the vanilla game, he set out to replace each offending texture to give a more immersive experience.

Hey Cavou, thanks for chatting to me today, it’s most appreciated. Jumping straight in, would you mind telling us a little bit about yourself?

I’m currently 21 years old, though I was 19 at the time of making The Texture Improvement Project. I got into modding when I got my first decent PC back when I was 12. I’ve lived in British C ...(continue reading the full article)

The Sunday Discussion - Druid Gameworks, developers of Witanlore: Dreamtime

    posted by BlindJudge Feature
A team of like-minded modders, coders and creative individuals, an idea, and a strong desire to deliver a story they are passionate about to the gaming world. Oh, and of course, humanoid bears with swords, shields, and mystical totems!

Witanlore: Dreamtime isn’t just a game; it's a love affair. Following two failed Kickstarter attempts for their game “Unwritten: Echoes of Twilight,” the Druid Gameworlds team scaled back their idea to concentrate on just one race - the Ursines. Now, following a successful Kickstarter campaign, lots of time, effort and dedication, the team is ready to relea ...(continue reading the full article)

    My journey into modding

    posted by BlindJudge Feature

As hard as it may be to fathom, before I began working for Nexus Mods, I had never really tried to "mod" anything. I mean, the only form of "modding" I had ever done in my life was add a spoiler to my first car back in 1996; put a window into the side of my first, self-built computer; and maybe change a console game with one of the cheat cartridges that were available at the time. Modding just seemed irrelevant to me, like an unnecessary hassle; I already liked the game so why on earth would I go tinkering with it? I mean, I’d probably make it unstable, or surely it would BSOD, right? It was ...(continue reading the full article)

    Hi folks,

As most of you know, Skyrim Special Edition was released on Friday and naturally, a lot of people are clamouring to get mods for the game. Skyrim has always been our most popular game on Nexus Mods and the release of the Special Edition has seen an unprecedented amount of users access our site over the past 36 hours. There are currently 16,500 people online this Saturday afternoon (in the UK) when, on a normal Saturday, it would be around 8,500 people. As you can imagine, our web servers are taking a hammering. Upcoming features and interviews

We’re in the throes of the redesign at the moment and while I have left the actual development to our seasoned professionals, I have still been on the lookout for new content to fill it with. Like I mentioned in the redesign post of yesteryear, we are making the news and articles a bit more of a prominent feature. We’ve been in the process of collecting information, preparing interviews with prominent members of our vast and varied community and looking for ideas that we can follow up on for features.

As the redesign doesn’t look like it is going to be completed within the next few month ...(continue reading the full article)
