AirShore
This map will bring a smile to any Crysis gamers lips...especially if you enjoys the stock Shore level in the game! AirShore is a tweaked out version of that level that will see the action intensify, along with your gaming enjoyment.

If you are trying to remember what the Shore level was about, "Following the Alien crisis, the small island of Kiribati became a focal point for multiple alien incursions. The Prototype Factory located there is the world leader for Alien studies and has recently come under North Korean domination. US Special Forces have been sent via submarine to retake the facility and the surrounding peninsula."

This is still the Shore map that you have enjoyed in the past, however, the most notable change made to this level by .:CS:.Seefor and Cooter Shooters Clan, is some added air power for both teams.

Get ready, strap in and prepare for some total carnage!
ARRIVAL complete single player map (1.0.0)
Hello,

I cave created a Single player Crysis map called "ARRIVAL"

It took months to create and give about 25-30 mins of steady gameplay.

It's a steady ride into action with building tension, Ai (friend and foe), Vehicles, Guns, Scripted set pieces, Aliens, and a working mine cart ride thru the mountains fighting towards the alien homeworld.

I created a quick trailer using movie maker and also posted that on youtube. and there are a few (probably a few too many) static screen shots below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzdyHv9fQ44

Hope you like it and look forward to any comments Good or Bad, This was going to be my last map on Crysis because of Crysis 2 comming out but looks like I gonna need tips for my next map. Hopfully I will be done before March next year. And if i did it again I would probably have done it different (90% learning 10 Doing).

I am also hoping to join some modding team if anyone will have me as I love doing this sort of stuff, any offers wink.

Thanks

Jason..
Broken Paradise (1.0)
We have a developer here today that is new to CrysisFiles, but not new to the Network, Serio(Lord_Reno) has made the leap from JKFiles to do his bit for the enjoyment of Crysis gamers; It is out of the urban warzone and into the jungle for you as fight to stay alive in the Broken Paradise.

The North Korean Special Forces are out for blood in this lush green carpet of jungle, keeping yourself among the breathing won't be easy as you move about; A word to the wise, quiet-ness is a good thing...especially if you want to be the one doing the victory dance at the end of it all, as the AI seem to be very adept to this terrain, and they are good at what they do...

If you think you have what it takes to see this to the end, and in one piece, then you'll want to give this a try, keep in mind that this release is an early version, I'm sure there will be more work made to it by the developer, and I'm sure suggestions and/or constructive criticisms would be welcomed; Broken Paradise is a fun map, that comes with the potential to be a memorable map.

Refer to the readme for more information.
BASE_TOX (v1)
New comer TOXIC has submitted his first ever CrysisFiles map to get your juices flowing and to satisfy you thirst for an exceptional gaming experience!

Prepare yourself for a thrill in this Instant Action bundle of goodness, as you will be battling your way to victory both at ground level as well as below it. BASE_TOX is about the base being deserted by it's previous occupants due to a contamination, the source of which you will find out about while you are in the fight for your life...It makes no difference weather you are on Terrafirma, or in it, the action is the same, however, the outcome is up to you!

If you think you have the uber skilz needed to reign supreme, then start your download now and prepare for the potential frag-fest that awaits for you in BASE_TOX!
Dustbound
TimoK has released his first Crysis map for your gaming enjoyment! This map is the result of his toying with the editor, which turned out to be a good thing; There are some custom assets placed in this map, mainly broken wall pieces and such.

Dustbound is geared for the higher-end machines set on highspec, mainly due to the colors, etc. This is a fun map, which is visually appealing to the peepers, and offers the potential for some serious get down and dirty Crysis action!

    Some of the features include:

    • Instant Action map
    • High spect tailored
    • Mountainous map

    Join us on Discord

    posted by Dark0ne Site News
If you’re the type of gamer, like us, who likes to use text chat and voice comms to catch up with friends and play games with them, then you’ve probably heard of Discord by now.

Discord can probably be best described as TeamSpeak or Ventrilo 2.0. It looks pretty, it works brilliantly, it’s efficient and it successfully combines voice and text chat to make a service that is both better than the early voice comms software as well as better than text chat software like Skype. Think IRC meets Ventrilo and they make a 2016 love child, and you kind of get the idea.

You don’t need to download ...(continue reading the full article)

Site redesign - sneak peek - part 1

    posted by BlindJudge Site News
It’s been a little while coming, but today I’m pleased to give you all a little glimpse into the labour of love that is the newly redesigned Nexusmods.com.

Please take a watch of the video below and let us know your feedback.

Like I mention in the video this is a very early version and certain things are not fully functional as yet, we are looking at changing certain aspects of our framework to make continued development easier, but this means that our time-frame has slipped a little.

Breaking down the video I’ll run through certain parts of the site, firstly the look. We tried many desig ...(continue reading the full article)

    Forced Password Resets

    posted by Dark0ne Site News
As you may be aware, we discovered a database breach in November 2015. The “good” news was that the data was very old, with the last registration date in the database being July 22nd 2013. This means anyone who registered on Nexus Mods after that date was not included in the database breach, and anyone before that date was included in the breach. The breach included email addresses, usernames and encrypted passwords.

As time has gone by, we’ve placed a number of warnings on the site alerting everyone of this breach, urging everyone to change their passwords.

We’ve recently received multi ...(continue reading the full article)

    Update:

We believe this issue was fixed at 2am this morning (since then our mail server has sent over 6,000 emails). Please contact us if you do not think this is the case.

    Original news post:

    Hi folks,

This is a quick update to let you know we're aware of an issue affecting our email delivery at the moment. A quick check of our stats shows our external mail provider (Amazon SES) has delivered no emails over the past 24 hours. We send emails for registration activation, private message notifications, tracked forum topics and so on and so forth. This will likely be related to recent security updat ...(continue reading the full article)

Nexus Mod Manager focus group needs more help

    posted by BlindJudge Site News
This is a quick and easy news post asking for a little more help with the Nexus Mod Manager focus group. The team has been hard at work doing updates, bug fixing and adding new features to provide the most stable and reliable platform for modding your games. This is going to be one big release!

We touched on it before, but the big addition to this release will be the Backup and Restore functionality. Following feedback from the users involved in the existing focus group, we have added a complete local backup facility. This allows you to take a 100% complete “snapshot” of your game mods, rea

    File Front archiving in progress

    posted by Dark0ne Site News
Back in the middle of 2015, FileFront.com quietly shut the doors to its various gaming hub sites (which were much like Nexus sites for game mods back in their hayday in the early to mid 2000s). Over the past few years File Front was extremely out-dated, slow or outright broken in many areas, lacking some TLC that it needed despite still having an active contingent of core users who still frequented their forums.

While File Front hadn’t really been updated properly in years with most games supported being released before 2010, it contained tens of thousands of files for lots of great (but now) ...(continue reading the full article)

    Change of Ad Provider

    posted by Dark0ne Site News
While I wouldn’t normally divulge such information publically in a news post due to the “unsexy” nature of talking about advertising, and because most of it happens behind the scenes anyway, I thought I would be remiss if I didn’t update people on this topic.

A little under two months ago we announced and released our new ad reporting functionality. The idea was to provide a very easy method to report bad ads that might come up on the site. Most importantly, for us, it was a way of gauging just how bad a problem bad ads were on our provider. Bad ads being defined as ads with auto playin ...(continue reading the full article)

Changes to our file uploader and large file uploading fix

    posted by BlindJudge Site News
As you are all probably aware we have had an issue for many, many months now with our file uploader not being able to process large file uploads (typically files above 300MB in size). During this time we’ve been working with mod authors to manually upload large files to our database for them. Obviously this isn't ideal for either you or for us, so we've also been working diligently behind the scenes to get a new uploader coded for the sites. We've finished work on this new uploader and it’s now live and available to be used on the sites.

This new uploader brings with it a number of new bene ...(continue reading the full article)

    SSL Testing on Nexus Mods

    posted by Dark0ne Site News
    Hi folks,

Just a quick heads up that we're currently testing out the implementation of SSL security across the Nexus site (not the forums, yet).

The switch has been flicked and you should be seeing a nice padlock in your URL bar while browsing the site. Some pages aren't showing a green padlock yet due to links to the non-SSL side of the forums.

While initial testing has been positive, we'd appreciate it if you could let us know if you notice any errors, issues or anomalies browsing the site today as we cannot extensively test every single last nook and cranny of these sites as effectively as a f ...(continue reading the full article)

Wanted: NMM Testers and Focus Group

    posted by BlindJudge Site News
We’re currently in the process of adding new features into Nexus Mod Manager, Robin covered it briefly in a previous news post, so I’ll try and expand a little more.

What we are aiming for with NMM is a piece of software that will make the installation, management and visibility of mods incredibly easy and open. You see a mod you like on our site, you click ‘Download with NMM’ and have it seamlessly downloaded, unpacked and placed in the right location with minimal fuss. Don’t like the file, then click to uninstall and NMM will go through and ensure that all remnants of that file are ...(continue reading the full article)
