Advanced Particles Mod (Beta | v1.0.1)
We have a returning great for your gaming experience! HavokSage has provided his Modification to enhance your Crysis adventure!

The Advanced Particles Mod, although still in Beta form, makes for a great time at your computer; This modification changes many common particle effects in Crysis to improve realism, and most importantly, excitement and playability. According to the developer, the Advanced Particles Mod has been in the works for a while now, mainly just tweaking the particles for optimization and making sure they aren't too over the top...

    Some of the features include:

      • Fire System; when an explosion is close to a house or vegitation, fires will start and eventually die down.
      • Fire now damages the player and AI.
      • Smoke stays for much longer after explosions.
      • Enhanced battle dust; Smoke forms across no mans land.
      • More 3d Particle Physics, Wood splinters, rocks, bits of concrete. All behave with realistic physics and are generated when Buildings, trees, etc are shot/exploded.
      • New Blood effects, more splatter & spatter.
      • Explosion effects optimized for better performance.
      • Many effects have been improved since the early Alpha release.

If you want a file to make the kind of changes to your game that will give it that little bit more of a realistic tang, then the Advanced Particles Mod is definitely something that you want to consider downloading! Don't be the only person on your block without this download!

ARRIVAL complete single player map (1.0.0)
Hello,

I cave created a Single player Crysis map called "ARRIVAL"

It took months to create and give about 25-30 mins of steady gameplay.

It's a steady ride into action with building tension, Ai (friend and foe), Vehicles, Guns, Scripted set pieces, Aliens, and a working mine cart ride thru the mountains fighting towards the alien homeworld.

I created a quick trailer using movie maker and also posted that on youtube. and there are a few (probably a few too many) static screen shots below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzdyHv9fQ44

Hope you like it and look forward to any comments Good or Bad, This was going to be my last map on Crysis because of Crysis 2 comming out but looks like I gonna need tips for my next map. Hopfully I will be done before March next year. And if i did it again I would probably have done it different (90% learning 10 Doing).

I am also hoping to join some modding team if anyone will have me as I love doing this sort of stuff, any offers wink.

Thanks

Jason..
Loser's Super Powers Mod (Full | v2.0)
For those of you that feel the Demo version of this modification was just not enough, prepare yourselves for some intense gaming! Loser Kid is back once again, and just like his previous release...nothing in life is free, therefore, you will have to give up some of your bandwidth to pay the modest price for this download, which is great news in this economically challenged climate that we live in...the download itself, as always, is free!

In the Loser's Super Powers Mod (v2), each difficulty setting gets harder as the players abilities increase. This has been done in part because the developer thinks this mod takes some getting used to. T offset the bonuses that you get from this mod, the number of AI that you will be up against, as well as their difficulty level has been increased.

For your convenience, Loser Kid has also provided a video so you have an idea of what kind of action awaits you!

It's not easy to run around at speeds much faster than normal while getting huge air and cloaking rapidly, at least not at first. Loser Kid recommends trying the easier settings first so you can get used to the changes before trying the hardest difficulty setting, which is the main focus of this mod. Most maps come with vehicles not normally usable in the game but that doesn't mean you have to use them (many vehicles are hard to find). Don't deny yourself the fun of playing on foot as well.

    • The different difficulties mean:
      • You can run faster
      • Cloak longer
      • Experience less recoil
      • Jump further
      • And regain energy faster

Loser's Super Powers Mod (v2) is just that...a mod which, compared to your abilities found in the stock version, gives you what could be considered super powers; Essentially, this download allows the player to do things not possible in the retail version of the Crysis game by increasing the available energy for the Nano suit. This Mod is perfect for those of you that want to throw a bit of a twist in your gaming experience, and enjoy Crysis in a whole new way!

NOTE:

You do not need the Demo version to play this Modification, however, if the size of this file is too much, you may want to download the smaller version:

Demo Version - Loser's Super Powers Mod (Demo | v2.0)

For added intensity - Loser's Super Powers Mod (Add On | v2.0)

Refer to the readme for more information.
AirShore
This map will bring a smile to any Crysis gamers lips...especially if you enjoys the stock Shore level in the game! AirShore is a tweaked out version of that level that will see the action intensify, along with your gaming enjoyment.

If you are trying to remember what the Shore level was about, "Following the Alien crisis, the small island of Kiribati became a focal point for multiple alien incursions. The Prototype Factory located there is the world leader for Alien studies and has recently come under North Korean domination. US Special Forces have been sent via submarine to retake the facility and the surrounding peninsula."

This is still the Shore map that you have enjoyed in the past, however, the most notable change made to this level by .:CS:.Seefor and Cooter Shooters Clan, is some added air power for both teams.

Get ready, strap in and prepare for some total carnage!
Broken Paradise (1.0)
We have a developer here today that is new to CrysisFiles, but not new to the Network, Serio(Lord_Reno) has made the leap from JKFiles to do his bit for the enjoyment of Crysis gamers; It is out of the urban warzone and into the jungle for you as fight to stay alive in the Broken Paradise.

The North Korean Special Forces are out for blood in this lush green carpet of jungle, keeping yourself among the breathing won't be easy as you move about; A word to the wise, quiet-ness is a good thing...especially if you want to be the one doing the victory dance at the end of it all, as the AI seem to be very adept to this terrain, and they are good at what they do...

If you think you have what it takes to see this to the end, and in one piece, then you'll want to give this a try, keep in mind that this release is an early version, I'm sure there will be more work made to it by the developer, and I'm sure suggestions and/or constructive criticisms would be welcomed; Broken Paradise is a fun map, that comes with the potential to be a memorable map.

    The Great Thumbnail Rebuild

    posted by MrMason Site News
We have been gearing up for some time to get ready to rebuild the thumbnails for over 2.5 million images that you’ve all uploaded over the years so that they are a much higher quality for the new website design that we've been working on.

We kicked off this rebuilding process at the start of last week, and it is now complete. The higher quality thumbnails may take some time to filter down through our various CDN providers as they are heavily cached.

Some of you may have noticed over the last few weeks a few subtle changes that we've made to the way thumbnail images are displayed on the websit ...(continue reading the full article)

This week we have some cracking picks for you all to take a look at. SirSalami has found an incredible dodge mod for Skyrim that not only adds an ability for you to dodge attacks, but also your enemies. We have a name! And a Q&A session with Tannin regarding the new mod mana...

    posted by Dark0ne Site News
It's been awhile since we mentioned our work on the new mod manager. For a quick recap of "recent" events, back in August 2016 we brought on Tannin (of Mod Organizer fame) to head up work on a completely new mod manager for Nexus Mods. He's been working on it along with the two original NMM programmers ever since.

Tannin's remit is simple on the surface, we want a mod manager for Nexus Mods that can handle modding for as many games as possible and that can be both simple for newcomers to use while containing (or supporting) all the advanced functionality users have come to expect from mod manag ...(continue reading the full article)

    Staff Picks - 03 May 2017

This week they are all picks from within our Bethesda games. Terrorfox couldn't decide on just one mod, so has actually chosen 4 from the same author, all of which add additional beasties or variants of into your Skyrim game. I have chosen a mod that I think really adds a bit of variety to an otherwise annoying (but necessary) part of gaming - fast travel. SirSalami has also addressed one of his gaming pet-peeves of only being able to save a game from retiring to a bed by looking at a mod that allows far more diversity in save locations. Finally, our community member iMACobra has selected a mo ...(continue reading the full article)
