About this mod

The blessing of Ptah, god of crafters, gives Egypt +3 production, +3 gold, and +1 food on ALL tiles. Even those who didn't have those. Also an extra government wildcard.

WHAT IT DOES

By the divine power of Ptah and the intercession of the Living Horus, the Pharaoh, Egypt gets +3 production, +3 gold, and +1 food on ALL tiles. Even those who didn't have those.. You also get one extra wildcard slot for your government.

I.e., it's a different version of Daughter Of Ra, with the same 7 extra points distributed differently. This one gets no extra culture, science or faith, so it doesn't railroad you into a cultural victory. Instead, you can build and buy more, but you'll still need to build colleges and whatnot. (Or I suppose you could use the two togeter, and get what can only be described as a trainer.)

Best used with Epic or Marathon games, so you have some high prices to spend that gold on.

And yes, it's a cheat. But, hey, in single player who cares? And in MP if you can convince anyone to let you use it, more power to you.

NOTES AND KNOWN ISSUES

1. If you'd like to play something else than Egypt, just go into the mod directory (see below) and then in the Data directory in it, and edit the lone .xml file with any text editor. Look for the line that adds a trait to "CIVILIZATION_EGYPT" and replace that with whatever you wish to play.

2. Since the tooltip in the leaders drop-down when you start a game is actually a static text, it won't update to show this. But you should see it in the load screen when you actually start the game... if you don't have more modifiers than fit the screen. In any case, just manage your tiles once you founded a city, and you should see all the boosted yields.

3. If you pile up too many extra slot mods, the game won't let you pick ANY government cards until you have enough to fill all slots. Essentially this and one more slot from another source (e.g., you're playing Greece or using the Daughter Of Seth mod too) is ok, any more any you get to wait longer until you can pick any cards.

4. The only things that are in English are the mod and perk name and its brief description. If you can read enough english to find "Daughter Of Ptah" in the Additional Content list, that's about the last English you'll need to read for this mod. You can use it with other languages, it won't turn your game into English. Is all I'm saying.

HOW TO GET IT

There's nothing to get. Just start a game as Cleopatra, with the mod enabled, and enjoy the power of the Goa'uld... err... of the Gods of Egypt.

HOW TO INSTALL IT

Open the downloaded file and drag the DaughterOfPtah folder into your "Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization VI/Mods" folder.

It should auto-activate itself the next time you start the game, but you can still turn it on and off in the menu, under Additional Content.

HOW TO UNINSTALL IT

Delete the DaughterOfPtah folder from there.

COMPATIBILITY

It is most definitely compatible with my other mods. Though if you're also using Daughter Of Seth or Daughter Of Ra, be aware of the slot issue above. Daughter Of Ra adds one slot, Daughter Of Seth adds TWO slots. If you use any combination where the sum is greater than two, you'll have to wait a few more turns, until you research enough cards to fill all slots, before you can slot ANY cards. (Though, I suppose, good things do come to those who wait. After that, you do have room for more government cards.)

I can't test it with anything else, since I'm not seeing any other mods for Civ VI at the moment.
